Dr. Paul Lebowitz of Woodbridge, Conn., and Edgartown died on May 22 at The Seasons Hospice in Hamden, Conn. He was 75. Paul was the beloved husband of Marcia Lipman Lebowitz.

Dr. Lebowitz was a graduate of Weequahic High School (in Newark, N.J.), Cornell University class of 1959, and Harvard Medical School class of 1963. He practiced medicine at Yale University and had a private medical practice in Branford, Conn.

Paul and Marcia were residents of the Vineyard for many summers. They first began summering in Edgartown more than 30 years ago. Paul was an avid gardener and his dahlias and lilies were his pride and joy. Local artist Karen Larson Turner painted a watercolor of his garden. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Marcia; his sons, Arthur Lebowitz and his wife, Claudette, of Cheshire, Conn., and Charles Lebowitz of Milford, Conn.; and two grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Paul’s memory to The Alzheimer’s Association, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
