Sandy Bristoll died April 29 in Greeley, Colo. She was 65.

She was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Oct. 30, 1947, to Arthur and Doris (Begley) Grover.

Sandy’s love for the sea and fresh air was evident to all who knew her. Her time living on Martha’s Vineyard was always close to her heart. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends, reading and especially attending plays. She particularly loved her son Danny’s theatre performances; her love for her son was evident in her proud smile and motherly affection. He was the light of her life.

Sandy was an alumnus of Michigan State University. She worked as a flight attendant for TWA Airlines, as a legal secretary, as an HR director and, most recently, as a student services specialist at AIMS Community College in Greeley, Colo.

Sandy is survived by her son, Daniel, of New York city, and his father, Donald Bristoll; a sister, Patricia (Terry) McSweeney of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents.

A memorial service will be held in Edgartown on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Edgartown Lighthouse with a brunch to follow at the Harbor View Hotel.
