Dr. Inés Acuña, M.D., former anesthesiologist at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, died Friday, Sept. 27 in Hingham. She was 83.

She was the beloved sister of the late Olga Acuna of Vina del Mar, Chile; Hugo Acuna of Edgartown and Miguel Acuna of Santiago. She was also the beloved aunt of many nephews and nieces and a close friend of her neighbors, the Shemeth, Meinhart and Gargan families in Edgartown, where she enjoyed living for 30 years.

A funeral mass for Ines will be celebrated Oct. 5 in Vina del Mar, Chile.
