Dear Marion and family, What a great idea to have an ice cream social in honor of Fred! He was a truly talented and fascinating guy. It will be fun to gather and exchange Fred stories. John and I cannot attend but we will be thinking of you! Love to you and the family and to all our Campground friends who miss him so much.

Dear Marion, We read about two months ago that Fred had passed away in November, and we want to express our sincere condolences to you and your family. We wish we could join you to honor Fred at the ice cream social, but we haven't been able to get to the Vineyard in a few years now because Kay's mom just isn't as mobile as she used to be. In addition, our son Troy will be graduating from high school two days later! Can you imagine that? Troy hopes to get out to the Island sometime in July if he can get some time off from his work, and if he does, I'll be sure to have him stop over to say hi. We miss the Island and we will sincerely miss seeing you and Fred. You and Fred were always so nice to talk to and we feel we like we lost a piece of our heart. Our memories of all of the good times there comfort us and we hope your memories will comfort you too. Much love...may peace be with you and your family.
