Ann M. Sanborn of Ft. Myers, Fla., formerly of Wellesley and Framingham, died Thursday, August 31. She was 92 and the beloved wife of the late Roger I. Sanborn.

Born in Jamaica Plain, her family moved to Wellesley, where she completed her primary education. Ann graduated from Emmanuel College in Boston in 1946 with a degree in liberal arts. Out in the business world, she worked for the Boston Herald as an advertising consultant, the St. George Hotel in Brooklyn as hospitality director and the Jordan Marsh Company, Framingham as personnel director. She wound up her business career managing several branch stores for the Cherry and Webb Company.

Upon retiring she moved with her husband, Roger, to Ft. Myers, Fla., where she became a board member for the Lakes Regional Library. When time allowed, she was an avid golfer at the Lexington Country Club, taking great pride in making a hole-in-one.

She leaves behind four siblings: Walter F. Morris of Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., Philip A. Morris of Henniker, N.H., Eulalie M. Regan of Oak Bluffs, and Natalie Morris of Mt. St. Vincent, Wellesley Hills. She also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews, as well as three very dear friends, Jamie Murray, Joan Anderson and Betty Lemechka, all of Fort Myers, Fla. She was the daughter of the late Walter F. Morris Sr. and Eulalie Morris, and sister of the late Paul Morris Sr., Robert Morris Sr., and Rear Adm. Thomas Morris.

Visitation took place on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home in Wellesley, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Paul’s Church. Interment was private.
