Nancy Jane (Wade) Cordeiro of East Sandwich died on Friday, April 12.
Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late John Donald and Barbara Jean (Murphy) Wade. She enjoyed her first 18 blissful summers with her family on Martha’s Vineyard and missed being born an Islander by just one day.
A graduate of Coyle-Cassidy high school, she studied art at Bridgewater State and Stonehill College.
Her talent was bringing joy to the eye. She never complained, no matter how hard the hand life dealt her. She was mischievous and magical in the joy she brought to everyone around her, and was fondly regarded for her kindness and giving nature.
She survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Mark; daughter Madeline Robitille; son Samuel; two sisters, Laurie Ann King of Manchester, N.H., and Judy Aparicio of Taunton; two grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Gene.
Funeral services were held April 17.
Nancy’s last request was that everyone commit a random act of kindness in her memory, plant flowers, visit a local library and stay curious.
