Lisa M. White of Edgartown died at home on April 15 surrounded by her family. The cause was cancer. She was 59.

Lisa was born at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital on January 19, 1960, the daughter of Albert A. and Wilda J. White. She grew up in Edgartown with her three best friends: her sisters Debra Scott, Shauna White-Smith and Toni White-Hanover. The sisters were involved in every aspect of each other’s lives. Lisa had fond memories of her early years surrounded by her Norton, White and Conroy cousins, aunts, and uncles, whose gatherings centered around endless cookouts and long beach days out on Oyster Pond. She graduated from the Edgartown School and Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.

Lisa and Donny Morway met on the Island 29 years ago, and together they created an amazing life. They spent their days traveling, gardening, shopping and building a beautiful yard and home. Donny’s fresh flowers always adorned her table, while she filled the house with the aromas of cooking, including fresh blueberry muffins every Sunday morning. They married on New Year’s Eve in 2017 in a beautiful ceremony with her children and her dad present.

After the birth of her two children, she worked in real estate, which provided the flexibility she needed to be present for her children, including every single sports game. Once her children graduated from high school, she eagerly began work as an event planner in Boston, a position she loved and that offered her the chance to dress up, travel and leverage her social gifts.

She was proud of her children and treasured her grandchildren, whom she delighted in being surrounded by and spoiling.

She is survived by her husband Donald V. Morway, her father Albert A. White, and her children Michael Snowden 2nd and Natasha Snowden-Cornock, all of Edgartown; sisters Debra Scott, Shauna White-Smith, and Toni White-Hanover; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.

Services were held on April 27.
