Robert Paul (Pete) Carroll, of Leicester, died on Saturday, July 18. He was 77.

He was born in Worcester, a son of James and Lillian (Watson) Carroll.

Growing up on Martha’s Vineyard, he spent much of his time around the family-run “Worcester House.”

Pete worked as a facilities coordinator at the College of the Holy Cross prior to retiring.

He previously worked as a product specialist for Bay State Abrasives. He was a former member of the Whitinsville Country Club and an associate member of the American Legion Post 318.

He enjoyed off-shore boating, fishing and camping on Cape Cod with his close friend and confidant, Dennis. He enjoyed sports and was a staunch New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Pete will be extremely missed by his many friends, relatives and especially by his extended family, the McManus and Dailidas. They wish Pete “Clear Sailing,” “Tight Lines” and “Pleasant Memories” on his new journey.

He is predeceased by his brother, Terry Carroll.

He is survived by his son, Todd Carroll; sister-in-law, Linda Carroll; three nephews and many friends.
