R. David Paul of Easton died Jan. 30. He was 89. The cause was Parkinson’s disease.

A native of Brockton, he was employed in hospitality and food service management. His sociability and young-at-heart spirit were known to all. He played golf and cards, listened to country music, and was an avid Notre Dame sports fan.

David and his beloved late wife of 37 years Lorraine J. (Sullivan Kimball) had previously lived in Edgartown for 20 years, and later moved back to the mainland for health reasons. They lived in Bridgewater; after her death he moved to Queset in Easton where he enjoyed people and activities.

He was the father of Gary Paul and his wife Christina of Maine and Michele Sheridan and her late husband Timothy of West Yarmouth; loving stepfather of Francis J. Kimball and his wife Kim of Bridgewater, Stephen P. Kimball of Brockton, Charles E. Kimball and his wife Deb of Bridgewater, Christine M. Kazlauskas and her husband Jonas of Bridgewater, Richard W. Kimball and his wife Sue of Connecticut, Thomas H. Kimball and his wife Maryann of N. Dighton, Kathleen M. Royle and her husband Jack of Cape Cod and Florida; grandfather of Jonathan Paul, Jason Paul, Jordan Sheridan, Janet Sheridan and the late William Sheridan and Joshua Paul; also of Frankie Kimball and his wife Kerri, Nicole Saltmarsh and her husband Michael, Julie Kimball, Christie Kimball, Leo Kazlauskas and his wife Sarah, Carissa Kimball, Chelsea Kimball, Corinne Kimball, Sheridan Kimball, Tommy Kimball, Tony Varela, Lauren Varela; great-grandfather of many new family additions; brother of Suzanne O’Connor and the late Lorraine Brides; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held when it is safe.
