Guy (Neno) Carrieri of South Boston, formerly of Cambridge, died peacefully Feb. 17. He was 89. Born in East Cambridge on May 18, 1931, Guy spent his career in accounting and finance at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he met many lifelong friends. He enjoyed relaxing at his home on Martha’s Vineyard, which he generously shared with his loved ones. In retirement, he joined the L Street Bathhouse, where he rowed, sunbathed, and passed many happy hours with friends. Guy’s gentle spirit and quiet compassion will be sorely missed.

He was the devoted brother of the late Gabriel and his wife Frances, the late Philip and his surviving wife Pauline, the late Catherine and her husband Vincent, the late Ralph and his surviving wife Mary, and the late Stella; and was a loving uncle of several generations of nieces and nephews, with whom he shared a special bond.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church in Cambridge on Feb. 26, at 10 a.m. All are required to wear a mask, adhere to social distancing guidelines, and register with the church.

Interment will be at St. Michael Cemetery in Roslindale.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, post-pandemic.

Donations can be made to The L Street Bathhouse, 1663 Columbia Rd., Boston, MA 02127.
