John Robert Jahries died on Saturday, July 10 at his home in Vineyard Haven. He was 91.

He was predeceased by his wife, Judith Blackmar Jahries, in May 2017. A complete obituary will appear in a future edition of the Gazette.

A funeral service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to Polly Hill Arboretum or The Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society.
