William Edward Belcher died unexpectedly at his home in Tarpon Springs, Fla., on August 7. He was 78.

A former Vineyard resident who coached high school football and softball, Bill was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and coach who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A complete obituary will appear in a future edition of the Gazette. A celebration of life will be held at another time.
