Louis C. Tresselt of Madison, Conn., died peacefully on August 30, surrounded by his loving family. He was 92.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Betty, who was originally from Edgartown.

Lou enjoyed his many visits with family and friends to the Island throughout the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. He especially relished his days and nights on the beach, casting for stripers and blues.

He is survived by his son David Tresselt of Connecticut; his daughter Susan Healey and her husband Michael, grandsons Ryan and Justin Healey, all of Rhode Island; and nieces and nephews Jim and Debbie Carter, and Penny and Gene Townes of Edgartown.

Services will be held at the First Congregational Church of Madison in Connecticut on Sept. 19 at 4 p.m.
