Sheila Jason, 75

Sheila K. Arno Jason of Chilmark died Friday, Jan. 28 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. She was 75 and was the wife of Leonard Jason Jr.

A graveside service officiated by the Rev. Dr. Roger Spinney will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at Abel’s Hill Cemetery in Chilmark.

Donations can be made to the Island Food Pantry, P.O. Box 622, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568.

Sheila was such an important person in my life. As my mom's lifelong best friend, I grew up with Sheila and her children being a big part of my childhood. I loved her laugh and her smile. Later as an adult I was able to visit with her a few times over the years and she took me around to some of her favorite places. It makes me so sad that she is gone and my heart goes out to Lenny and the children. Sending love to all.
