Robert Parker Trebby died unexpectedly in Vineyard Haven on March 9. He was 65.

He was born Sept. 10, 1956. He grew up in Vineyard Haven, attended Tisbury School, graduated from Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and attended University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He was best known for his sense of humor, quick wit and generosity.

He is survived by his loving family including his two daughters, Jennifer Trebby and her spouse Brett Rogers, and Kate DeThomas and her spouse Anthony; granddaughters Elinor and Isla; and his former wife Ann Trebby, all of Seattle. He is also survived by his siblings Tina Preston and her spouse Charles of Concord, N.H., Maria Trebby and her spouse George Rogers of Boise, Ida., John Trebby and his spouse Helen of Nantucket, Carla Metell and her spouse David of Melrose, Julia Custer and her spouse Martin of Pecan Grove, Tex. and Thomas Trebby, also of Pecan Grove, Tex.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Jeanne Trebby of Vineyard Haven and his sister Regina Brenner and her spouse Larry of Winthrop.

Interment will be private. A memorial service for friends and family will be planned for a future date.
