Margaret Christine Freitas Chambers of Edgartown died on Oct. 21 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. She was 72.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Vineyard Haven.

Memorial donations may be made to the Good Shepard Parish Food Pantry, P.O. Box 1058, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568.

I have known Peggy for my entire life. She was a loving mother who dedicated her entire life to her family. I will always miss you and cherish our memories together. Rest In Peace dear friend. Peggy was a regular at the good shepherd parish food distribution in OB. I loved seeing her and chatting for about 15 seconds. She was a beautiful person. And will be missed by many.
