One of the kindest and nicest men all through his long and busy life. As a banker he was the epitome of a person who always worked to build his community and his island home. Send some flowers out on the outgoing tide for Ted.

Ted was the epitome of old school banking when lending money was based on character not some arcane formula of risk assessment. When I came before him as a much younger man looking for a loan to build my house, he looked me up and down and asked one question, "You think you can pay it?" We shook hands on it and every month for years after that day I felt like I was holding up my end of a promise when I signed the check to pay the mortgage. He was a true gentleman through and through.

Ted always made you feel special when you talked to him. He always wore a big smile and had a light in his eyes that made you realize how kind he was. He was a true Chilmarker and will be greatly missed.

No matter how many people were in a room, if he were speaking to you, he made you feel as if you were the most important. He was an Island Treasure...

Ted was truly a warm, kind and genuine man. We have many fond memories of our times spent with Ted and his wife Judy. His welcoming smile, his charm and his personality made a deep impact. May he rest in peace. Our loving thoughts and prayers to Judy and his family.
