Albert A. Sturdivant of Sarasota, Fla., a former longtime summer resident of Oak Bluffs, died on August 4.
Al co-founded Sturdivant & Company with his late brother, Ralph Sturdivant, and he was its chairman and chief executive officer. The company, located in Mt. Laurel, N.J., is one of the oldest minority-owned investment firms in the country.
He was an avid tennis and golf player.
A memorial service will be held in October in Sarasota, Fla.
