Vonda Mayhew died on August 6, after a long illness.

She was married to Elmore (Buddy) Mayhew of Chilmark. She is survived by her daughter Chrisa, grandson Alex and several great-grandchildren.

She will be buried in the West Tisbury Cemetery.
