Michael Stearn Underwood died peacefully on Thursday, August 24. He was 75.

There will be a celebration of life in memory of John Kozboski on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Aquinnah Shop.

Mabel Champney McCarthy died peacefully of natural causes on Sept. 19 at the Windemere Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 92.

A graveside service for Gregory John Ortiz will be held on Friday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. at the Old Westside Cemetery in Edgartown.

Samuel Alexander Campbell, also known as Magic Sam, died on June 27 after a long battle with cancer. He was 74.

Christine (Prada) Eissenstat of Frederick, Md. died of a heart attack on Sept. 4. She was 64.

Donald P. Viera of Fairhaven died Sunday, Sept. 17 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford after a short illness. He was 81.

A memorial service for Norman Vunk has been rescheduled because of the weather forecast. It will now take place on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m.

Filmmaker Murray Lerner, a longtime summer resident of Aquinnah, died of kidney failure on Sept. 2 at his home in Long Island City, N.Y. He was 90.
