As the Fourth of July came to a close Edgartown restaurants were full and lines reached out the doors of ice cream shops. Spectators filled downtown streets and found perches wherever they could: harbor benches, sidewalks, beach chairs and towels in the sand by the lighthouse. Soon all eyes were on the sky, lit with fireworks of all colors and styles.
