Around us, the natural world is responding to the changes of light and dark. Birds are migrating, poison ivy vines along forest paths are turning crimson and caterpillars are on the move, hunting good spots to spin their cocoons. We've enjoyed the second blossoming of sweet clematis, and at farm stands across the Island, a healthy pumpkin crop is in. Here at the turning of the seasons, poised between summer and fall, it’s hard not to appreciate the drama.
