Go out into the countryside in search of summer's most brilliant visitor. The traveler will find the striking flashes of orange butterfly weed in pastures and old meadows, on Vineyard hillside and swale and along Island roadsides and sandy lanes.

This wildflower remains summer's best decoration and must be preserved, if only as a proper resting place for butterflies.
