Gusty wind, pelting rain, scudding gray clouds and breaks of sun were all in the weather picture Monday as an overnight storm blew in and decided to stay awhile. Ferries were cancelled and coastal facing roads were awash in seawater. Halloween decorations were blown about and Islanders donned an extra layer under their windbreakers.
