More than 350 runners braved rain, sleet, wind and plenty of frigid temperatures on Saturday to compete in the Martha's Vineyard 20 Miler, an annual benefit for the Boys and Girls Club. Ryan Aschbrenner of Nashua, N.H. was the first to cross the finish line, with a time of 1:58:23. Karen Meraw of Sheby Township, Mi., was the first female to finish, with a time of 2:13:34. Shawn  McCormack of West Tisbury was the first Islander to cross the finish line, with a time of 2:33:40. The 20-mile race begins in Vineyard Haven, passes through Oak Bluffs historic district, along Sengekontacket into Edgartown and finishes back in Oak Bluffs.
