Who says you can't downhill ski on the Vineyard? You could call it a combination of sailing, skiing and kite flying, and it's known as snow kiting or kite skiing. Downill skis or snowboards are the usual equipment, with a kite, of course. And the plains of Katama provide the large expanses of land needed to get moving.
