The Netflix adaptation of Judy Blume’s novel, Forever, began shooting on the Island Monday, with seasonal resident Mara Brock Akil producing and writing the eight-part series, and directing the Vineyard episode.

The Tisbury select board voted unanimously this week to limit the number of taxi companies licensed in the town to seven, each with up to eight cabs on the road.
