The Feast of the Holy Ghost parade set Sunday morning, cheered on by the Island community as it made its way up Circuit avenue, towards the town cemetery and on to the Portuguese American Club.

On Tuesday, Tricia Bergeron won the 2023 Heritage Day of Portugal Award, one of 18 honorees across the state.

Since Mo's Lunch opened at the Portuguese American Club it has become an Island mainstay.
