Revolution Wind, an offshore wind energy project located 12 miles southwest of Aquinnah, completed installation of its first wind turbine, the company announced Tuesday.
Offshore wind energy projects continue to progress in the waters south of the Vineyard, with two new wind farms approved and construction starting on a third.
Revolution Wind says it will cut down on the number of turbines it is proposing to put in the waters off Martha’s Vineyard in order to reduce the number that can be seen from Aquinnah. Tribe officials remain concerned about the project.
