A New Hampshire man charged with robbing the Vineyard Haven Rockland Trust branch in an armed heist will be extradited after he was arrested during a car stop in Connecticut this weekend.
An Edgartown man who police said drove the getaway car in last week's armed robbery of a Rockland Trust bank branch was arraigned Monday morning in Edgartown District Court.

The Edgartown National Bank, the Island’s second oldest bank, will be acquired by the Rockland Trust Company. Due to be completed next spring, the transaction is valued at about $24.5 million.
