Mateus Ribeiro and David Seidman, both of Vineyard Haven, graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Mr. Ribeiro with a bachelor of arts in economics and Mr. Seidman with a bachelor of science in criminal justice.

Lieut. Commander Alexander B. Baynes of the United States Navy was awarded the degree of doctor of philosophy in applied physics from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif.
