The 2023 Climate Action Fair held on May 7 was an outgrowth of the Islandwide collaboration that resulted in the Island Climate Action Plan — The Vineyard Way.

The fair, hosted by the Martha’s Vineyard Commission’s climate action committee, had the theme “Reduce, Reuse, Renew” and showcased dozens of Island organizations committed to boosting the Vineyard’s climate resiliency.

In the late 1980s, as a graduate student at Harvard Kennedy School, I conducted the first housing buildout study for the Martha’s Vineyard Commission.
