MV Youth this week gave $2.3 million in grants to the YMCA, the Chilmark preschool, Martha's Vineyard Ocean Academy and ACE MV.

Ten years ago, two donors and their local contacts had an idea. They wanted to set the Island’s next generation up for success, while dispensing with the high organizational costs of most nonprofits.

MV Youth has announced the 12 recipients of this year’s college and workforce scholarships totaling approximately $990,000.
