Silver Linings is the theme for the next community art show at Featherstone Center for the Arts, opening April 5. The Art of Flowers follows in May.

2015

Ann Smith, the executive director of Featherstone Center for the Arts, was the recipient of the Tourism Award for Martha’s Vineyard.

On Sunday, March 15, Featherstone will host a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. for its latest opening, Take a Seat: The Chair Show.

Last summer, Isabella Morais got to thinking that teenage artists on the Island would benefit from a studio space where they could gather and create art. Her dream is becoming a reality with the Teen Art Cafe, a drop-in studio and classes for teenage artists that launches this week.

Featherstone’s first opening reception of 2015 features an Island favorite: sheep. All things woolly are included in the I Love Ewe: The Year of the Sheep Show.

Featherstone Center for the Arts in Oak Bluffs is beginning its 12th Holiday Gift Show with a preview show on Friday, Nov. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 27, Featherstone is hosting an artists’ studio tour to provide an up close and personal look at the creative process.
