The owner of Lambert’s Cove Inn withrew a special permit application for outdoor dining after neighbors continued to push back against the proposal.
The owners of the Lambert’s Cove Inn came before the West Tisbury zoning board of appeals last week to request a continuation of outdoor dining, a practice started during the pandemic.
The historic Lambert’s Cove Inn in West Tisbury has been sold for $6.45 million.
At a liquor license hearing Wednesday, the prospective buyers of the Lambert’s Cove Inn found themselves in the midst of wary neighbors with a litany of complaints over past practices at the inn.
The public hearing scheduled for Dec. 29 will instead take place Jan. 12.
