Edgartown residents voted in a new school committee member and approved a new fire station. West Tisbury passed its $1.2 million library renovation.

Voting in Oak Bluffs is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Oak Bluffs Library. Edgartown polls are at town hall and are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voting in West Tisbury will be held from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the fire station at 454 State Rd.

Voters go to the polls today in Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and West Tisbury to decide on new select board members and cast ballots on the question of whether to create a Martha’s Vineyard Housing Bank. In Oak Bluffs, one of three candidates for select board has dropped out.

Three candidates are seeking a one-year seat on the West Tisbury select board, left vacant by the recent death of Kent Healy. The Gazette emailed questions to the candidates. Their responses follow.

West Tisbury voters approved a $300,000 general override 62-32 in a quiet special town election Thursday. Total turnout was 94 voters, 3.5 per cent of those registered.

2020

Kent Healy was reelected selectman in West Tisbury on Thursday, easily defeating first-time challenger Michael Bellissimo.
