Greg Pachico will be West Tisbury’s next fire chief, following a unanimous vote Wednesday by the town selectmen. “He both has a vision for the future and a respect for the traditions of the fire department, board chairman Cynthia Mitchell said.

West Tisbury selectmen will delay their vote on a new town fire chief for another week, after members of the fire department asked to weigh in on the matter.

If Eversource wants to add manholes in West Tisbury, it will have to resurface the entire roadway afterward, the town selectmen said at a public hearing Wednesday.
