Main street Edgartown looked like the height of summer on Saturday, with sidewalks overflowing with bundled-up people for the annual Christmas parade.
For the last 38 years, Robert and Lynn Gatchell have turned their yard on County Road in Oak Bluffs into a holiday extravaganza, lighting up every night to celebrate the season.
Christmas in Edgartown is from Dec. 8 through 11, and the town will be packed with holiday activities.
Get the reindeer ready and the sleigh saddled up because Christmas in Edgartown begins Thursday, Dec. 8.
Oak Bluffs police are investigating vandalism to the Christmas decorations in Ocean Park, the department announced Saturday.
The trees made of Christmas lights and other decorations in the park, provided by Crossland Landscape, were vandalized sometime overnight Friday, the department said in a Facebook post Saturday morning.
Lieut. Timothy Williamson told the Gazette that three of the trees were knocked down.
