The Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank announced Monday that it has added to its beachfront holdings in Vineyard Haven with the purchase of a small property on the Tashmoo peninsula.

Tisbury selectmen have continued until early April a hearing on Noah Mayrand’s application to farm oysters in a one-acre portion of Lake Tashmoo. It marks the first aquaculture permit application in town.

The Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank bank added 400 feet of white sand beachfront to its holdings in Vineyard Haven Friday with the purchase of a five-acre parcel near the mouth of Lake Tashmoo.
