The town is seeking sealed bids for the demolition/salvage of existing electrical power system, supply and installation of new waterfront electrical/water/communications lines, power pedestals and other equipment on Dutcher Dock and the Commercial Fishing Bulkhead in Menemsha. An IFB is available from: townadministrator@chilmarkma.gov, (508)645-2101 or the Selectmen’s Office after 12/07/2018. Bids are due 12/20/2018 at 3:30PM.




Will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 12:30PM, in the Conference Room at Town Hall, under the Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L.c.131, Section 40 and the Town’s Wetlands Protection By-law, on an application filed by Reid Silva of Vineyard Land Surveying & Engineering for Ariel Ashe. The applicant would like to abandon an existing driveway located in a wetland buffer zone and build a new driveway, with associated site grading for a parking area and a garage. The new driveway, most of the parking area and the garage are located within the wetland buffer zone. The closest activity is 15 feet from the wetland edge. The work is proposed for the property located at 29 Welles Way; Assessor’s Map 25 Lot 6.1. The application and plans are on file with the Conservation Commission, and may be examined during normal business hours (9-4:30) at the Town Offices. The Chilmark Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on December 17, 2018, at 4:30PM in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room at the Chilmark Town Hall to review proposed amendments to the Chilmark Zoning Bylaws as follows: To amend Article 4: USE REGULATIONS, Section 4.0, ACCESSORY USES, Section 4.2A, 3. Swimming Pool and/or Tennis Court, in the following sections: a., d., g., h. i., l., m. n. and adding new sections titled e. Access and Enclosure with new subsections 1-5 to replace e. Enclosure, f. Line of Site Observation to replace f. Location and k. Landscaping and Visibility with subsections 1-2 to replace k. Screening and Landscaping.
