Will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 12:30PM, in the Conference Room at Town Hall, under the Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L.c.131, Section 40 and the Town’s Wetlands Protection By-law, on an application filed by Reid Silva of Vineyard Land Surveying & Engineering for Miranda Edison. The applicant would like to stabilize an eroding coastal bank on Vineyard Sound by installing jute netting and planting American Beach Grass plugs. Approximately 55 sq. ft. of Coastal Bank will be altered for the planting. The work is proposed for the property located at 11 Pitch Pine Lane; Assessor’s Map 21 Lot 27. Will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 12:30PM, in the Conference Room at Town Hall, under the Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L.c.131, Section 40 and the Town’s Wetlands Protection By-law, on an application filed by Reid Silva of Vineyard Land Surveying & Engineering for Scott Rosenberg. The applicant would like to amend the Order of Conditions for SE 12 – 809 that was issued in June 2018 to remove and manage an area with invasive ornamental grasses—miscanthus (silvergrass). The amendment proposes to expand the invasive species removal list to include Phragmites, Japanese Knotweed, Multiflora Rose, Bittersweet and select Choke Cherries and Russian Olive trees. The work will be done in the dormant, winter months, throughout the open, wooded and wetlands areas of the property including Bordering Vegetated Wetlands and the 100-foot buffer zone of the wetlands and fresh water ponds. The work is proposed for the property located at 16 Shepherd’s Path; Assessor’s Map 24 Lot 1. The applicant would like to install a post and wire fence by hand within the 100-foot buffer zone of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland. The closest activity is approximately 85 feet from the wetland edge. The property is located at 16 Shepherd’s Path; Assessor’s Map 24 Lot 1. PRESERVATION COMMITTEE

There will be a public hearing Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 5:00PM at the Chilmark Town Hall to discuss and receive public comment on a regional Community Preservation Act funding requests that are under consideration for the April 2020 Annual Town Meeting. The MV Agricultural Society is seeking $2,500 of CPA Historic Preservation Funds as Chilmark’s share of the cost to build a display case for the Ag Hall model; restore the Ag Hall’s ox cart and preserve several historic records and artifacts. The Field Fund, Inc. is seeking approximately $25,000 of CPA Park & Recreation funds to restore the baseball infield at the Chilmark School. All are welcome. Administrator 1X 10/4
