The marketing manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for the Vineyard Gazette Media Group and all the brands within the organization. The key tasks include raising public awareness of its publications, including the Vineyard Gazette, Martha’s Vineyard Magazine and The Vine. The Marketing Manager plans, develops, and executes marketing campaigns across various digital, print, and social media channels. The job also includes planning events to promote the publications. This job is based in Edgartown in the historic offices of the Gazette where you will collaborate with the sales and graphic design teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Collaborate with sales and creative to ensure marketing initiatives are well-coordinated and aligned with overall company goals.
  • Create marketing efforts and materials that support the sales team.
  • Plan and execute events to promote Vineyard Gazette Media Group publications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and community organizers.
  • Secure sponsorships for special events.
  • Manage the inventory, sales, and promotion of VGMG branded merchandise.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in marketing, ideally in a similar industry.
Strong understanding of various marketing channels and strategies, with a focus on digital marketing.
Excellent project management, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a results-driven mindset.
Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and performance metrics.
