I LOVE seeing the "No Dogs permitted at Long Point Year Round"! I hope it catches on through out the island!

I agree about the dogs as their owners have ruined our walks along many of the island's beautiful trails by not picking up after their dogs and when on those trails they do not keep their dogs on a short leash. Several times their dogs have accosted me and my children by jumping on us, some have growled at our small ones, barked at us as we pass or when they approach us and only sometimes they will apologize. I am sickened by these rude and totally inconsiderate dog owners the few good responsible owners will suffer as they do not police the violators which makes them just as guilty! We try to be tolerant here in West Tisbury but this has gotten way out of control all over our island's beaches, walking trails and in our neighborhoods. More fines heavy fines, more enforcement of existing laws and more No Dogs allowed signs should be the order of the day.
