Celebrate the release of the Phil daRosa Band’s debut album Better Days with an all-ages party tonight, Friday, Sept. 7, at Outerland at the Martha’s Vineyard Airport. Tickets are $10; doors open at 9 p.m.
Vineyard boy Phil daRosa teams up with old friends Jackson Smith on bass and Jeremy Milligan on drums, as well as a relatively new addition to the line-up, Jeff Bujak on keyboards, Rhodes and melodica. The group has been compared to everyone from The Police, the Dave Mathews Band, Ben Harper, Paul Simon, Ani Difranco, Zeppelin and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, to Ray Lamontagne.
Their sound earned the band the title of the Emergenza Music Competition’s Western Massachusetts regional winner this summer.
More recently, the group was selected to open the rally at the Tabernacle when presidential candidate Hillary Clinton appeared.
