A panel discussion featuring the founders of the Israeli-Palestinian Negotiating Partners, moderated by Shula Gilad, is set for Sunday, Sept. 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center, 130 Centre street in Vineyard Haven.

On the panel will be Nisreen Haj-Ahmed Abbas from the Kennedy School of Government, who holds a law degree from the University of Edinburgh and is on leave from her position with the economic advisor to the president of the Palestinian Authority.

Also speaking is Moty Cristal from Harvard Law School, who holds a law degree from Bar-Ilan University and served in various official positions in Israeli negotiation teams with Jordan and the Palestinians. He is co-founder, with Nisreen Abbas, of Israeli-Palestinian Negotiating Partners.

The partners group trains Israeli and Palestinian negotiators. It was created with the Harvard Negotiation Project and Conflict Management Group and has advisors drawn from Harvard.

Shula Gilad is consultant to Mercy Corps’ Civil Society and Conflict Management Group, Harvard University and a public policy consultant.
