Dharma teacher Choepel will make his first visit to The Bodhi Path Buddhist Center in West Tisbury for two teachings on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 10 a.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 7 p. m. The topic is What Does Spirituality Have To Do With Me?

Lama Choepel will discuss the benefits of preparing solid foundations for the Buddhist path.

Born in 1968 in Graz, Austria, Lama Choepel grew up in Graz and then studied business administration and drama in Vienna. In 1994 he entered the monastic community of Dhagpo Kundreul Ling in France. From 1998 to 2004, he completed two traditional three-year retreats. He now travels throughout Europe and the U.S. to share his experience of the Buddhist path.

The Martha’s Vineyard Bodhi Path is located at 21 Laurand Drive, off Waldron’s Bottom Road in West Tisbury.

The center provides a comfortable space for group and individual dharma activity, offering meditation sessions and instruction, teachings, a discussion group and one-day retreats.

There is a lama in residence from time to time as well as numerous visiting teachers throughout the year.
