Executive chef James McDonough of the Beach Plum Inn will demonstrate how to prepare salmon cakes with Frangelico cream sauce on Wednesday, April 16, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Chilmark Public Library, as part of the library’s chef series.
Mr. McDonough has been creating superb dishes at the Beach Plum’s restaurant for the last 12 years. During his tenure, the Beach Plum Inn Restaurant has been named best restaurant (2001) in Martha’s Vineyard Magazine readers’ poll and Cape Cod Life’s most romantic restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard (2000, 2001 and 2002).
Last August, two of his fresh fish dishes, namely his pan-roasted hazelnut-crusted halibut and grilled lobster topped with caviar cream sauce, were featured in the New York Times.
