It’s the opening of the Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby — and that means it’s time to open, too, the Louisa Gould Gallery’s annual group show of sporting art.

In the spirit of the Vineyard and the 63rd derby exhibiting artists celebrate, in various media, the Island, its natural beauty and all aspects of fish and derby fishing.

Artists contributing art and to the fund (because partial proceeds benefit the derby scholarships) include: Peter Corbin, Marjorie Mason, Ray Ellis, Ed Jerome, Steve London, Janet Messineo, Washington Ledesma, Sherry Blalock, Louisa Gould, Charles Giordono, Luther Kelly Hall, Brian Kirkpatrick, Dimitry, Christopher Pendergast, Jane Baker, John Holladay and James Murray.

The show will run until Oct. 19.
