Statewide the price of gas dropped just in time for the holiday weekend. Too bad it didn’t happen here, too. Prices for regular unleaded gas as of July 1:

The total cost* before tax for each order was:

$55.77 at Reliable,

$52.39 at Stop & Shop,

$61.40 at Cronig’s without Our Island Club card, or

$55.26 at Cronig’s with the card.

*Stop & Shop had potato chips, ketchup and strawberries on sale with their free frequent shopper card; sales run from Friday to Thursday.
