Ted Morgan will be the guest speaker at historic Union Chapel in Oak Bluffs at 10 a.m. this Sunday. Mr. Morgan has recently returned from a memorable trip to Normandy for the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landing and will share his experiences at the service. The Rev. Dr. John Schule will lead the devotional section.

During World War II, Ted made several combat jumps into various locations in the European war zone while serving as a medic. After the war he continued his career in the Air Force before returning to his native Edgartown where he has been a community leader for decades.

Mr. Morgan headed the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, the Edgartown board of selectmen and is widely known on the Island for his involvement in many of its affairs. He will be speaking on what America means to him.
