Over 100 vendors will offer their wares on Tuesday, July 14, when the fourth Featherstone Flea and Fine Arts Market will cover the grounds of Featherstone Center for the Arts near the blinker in Oak Bluffs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission and parking is free. The flea market continues on Tuesdays through Sept. 1.

Featherstone’s Tuesday Night Lecture series begins tonight, July 14, at 7 p.m. as photographer Alan Brigish relates his journey to Indochina with a special presentation, Breathing in the Buddha, featuring photos and narrative. Lectures are held each Tuesday night through August 25.

Japanese Zen calligrapher Alok Hsu Kwang-han will offer a free demonstration of Zen calligraphy tomorrow, Wednesday, July 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Featherstone. His workshop, The Creativity of Non-Doing: A Calligraphy Workshop, will be held on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Summer Festival of Poetry at Featherstone continues on Thursday, July 16, at 6:30 p.m., with readings by renowned poets Fan Ogilvie and Fanny Howe.

Fan Ogilvie is the West Tisbury poet laureate and Fanny Howe was recently given the Ruth Lilly Poetry award.
